MEET OUR TEAM
Educated at Hawick High and playing rugby for The Wanderers and Linden, Keith Oliver moved to Manchester in 1968 to began his chosen career. This included working in Asset Finance, leasing facilities on industrial items such as printing presses, corporate jet aeroplanes and earthmoving equipment. It took him all over Britain until 2015 when he reached State Pension age. But not yet ready to “retire”, he started a successful company selling credit card terminals until he was seventy. Two years later he has taken up the post of Manager of Teviot Electric Car Club Limited.
Andy Maybury ᴍᴀ is the Project Manager of TECC.
He is a trained engineer with an interest in energy and the environment. He is involved with several local groups, charities and co-operatives and sees opportunities for improving transport options for people in Hawick through a shared car scheme that is affordable and easy to use.
Keith Morgan is a A PGA Pro with 30 years Golf Industry experience in many varied roles from Head Professional, European Custom Fit manager, Sales Manager Callaway Golf, Business Owner One-Putt Agencies and now PGA and Life Coach and business owner at http://www.BordersGolf-Coaching.com.
Voluntarily he is currently Chair of Hawick High School Parent council and Treasurer of TECC.
Ron Sutherland – BSc, BA, Dip Ed, PHF
Ron is a retired teacher of Geography. He taught in Hawick High from 1978 to 1988 and then in Selkirk High as the Principal Teacher of Geography until 2014.
His interests include angling, walking and the natural environment and the impact of humans on it.
"I see the TECC initiative as a way of reducing air pollution without reducing our ability to travel when we want to."
Kerry Stewart is a retired Free Church of Scotland Minister whose ministry was in the Isle of Skye before retiring to Hawick. He is concerned about environmental matters and sees the car club as a way to reduce the impact of travel.
